HM Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire, Susan Lousada and Bav Shah DL, attended DesiFest Luton 2026 at Wardown Park on 6 September.
The festival was a colourful celebration of music, dance, visual arts, heritage, food and family activities, marking Luton’s 150th anniversary and paying tribute to the many communities that have shaped the town.
A particularly moving moment was United Steps for Peace—a shared display of harmony, unity and mutual respect.
The Lord-Lieutenant said: “By bringing people together we strengthen our communities and create opportunities for a brighter future.
