Deputy Lieutenant Gurch Randhawa, was delighted to attend a recent exhibition hosted by Kiswa Arts and Culture Gallery in Luton.
The exhibition brought together people from different communities and faiths from across Bedfordshire and beyond, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience a space dedicated to the preservation and celebration of Islamic heritage through the arts. The event highlighted the power of culture and creativity to foster understanding, dialogue and shared appreciation between communities.
Kiswa Arts and Culture Gallery is devoted to showcasing the richness and depth of Islamic history and artistic tradition. The exhibition featured a remarkable collection of artefacts, many of which are more than 1,000 years old, providing an insight into the historical, cultural and spiritual significance of Islamic art across centuries. Through carefully curated displays, visitors were able to engage with themes of faith, craftsmanship and heritage in an accessible and welcoming environment.
