It was a very special celebration as Mrs Rosie Allen marked her remarkable 105th birthday, a truly extraordinary milestone and a moment of great joy for all involved.

On behalf of the Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire, Deputy Lieutenant (retired) Cynthia Gresham was delighted to join Rosie, alongside her family and friends, to present her birthday card and help celebrate this wonderful occasion. The visit provided an opportunity to recognise not only Rosie’s longevity, but also the life, memories and experiences she has shared across more than a century.

Reaching such an impressive age is a rare and inspiring achievement, and the day was filled with warmth, affection and admiration for Rosie, who was clearly surrounded by the love and good wishes of those closest to her.
