The Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire was delighted to visit Sacred Heart Primary School, joining pupils for their morning assembly.

During the visit, students learned more about the role of the Royal Family, the work of the Bedfordshire Lieutenancy, and the significance of Bedfordshire Day. The assembly also provided an opportunity for pupils to ask thoughtful and insightful questions, demonstrating their curiosity, confidence and strong engagement with the topics discussed.

The Lord-Lieutenant was greatly encouraged by the enthusiasm shown by the students and the interest they took in learning about civic life and the county’s traditions.

The Bedfordshire Lieutenancy extends its sincere thanks to all the pupils for such a warm and engaging welcome, and to Mrs Soames and her colleagues for their hospitality and for the important work they continue to do in supporting and inspiring young people within the school community.
